Yifei Qian
Principal
Yifei Qian is a Principal in Asia Alternatives’ Beijing office. Ms. Qian is primarily responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence, deal execution and portfolio management of private equity fund investments and direct co-investments in China.
Prior to joining Asia Alternatives, Ms. Qian was a Private Investments Analyst at DUMAC, Inc., a firm that manages $18 billion AUM of Duke University’s endowment fund, Duke University and Duke Hospital’s employee pension fund and the Duke family’s trust fund. At DUMAC, Ms. Qian was involved in roughly $2.5 billion of private equity investments in venture, buyout, real estate and natural resources asset classes globally. Prior to DUMAC, Ms. Qian was conducting academic research at the Duke University Energy Initiative, where she published a paper for the National Bureau Economic Research.
Ms. Qian graduated from Duke University with a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Fudan University. Ms. Qian is a CFA charter holder. Ms. Qian is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
