Jin Gu is a Principal for Asia Alternatives’ Beijing office. Ms.
Gu is primarily responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence, deal
execution and portfolio management of private equity fund investments
and co-investments in Greater China.
Prior to
joining Asia Alternatives, Ms. Gu was an Investment Associate at
Stanford Management Company (“SMC”), a division of Stanford University
that manages over $15 billion of the University's endowment and trust
assets, expendable funds and commercial real estate investments. At
SMC, she was involved in the management of approximately $2 billion
assets with investment activities including asset allocation, manager
selection across all asset classes as well as a portfolio of direct
co-investments in venture capital.
Previously, she was a Senior Performance Analyst at State Street
Investment Analytics, a division of State Street Corporation that
provides comprehensive services performance, compliance, risk and
strategic analysis for asset managers, corporate retirement and public
pension funds, charitable organizations and family offices. Ms. Gu’s
clients included The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and CalPERS.
Ms. Gu
earned a dual B.A. degree in Business Economics and Political Science
with an International emphasis from University of California, Santa
Barbara. Ms. Gu is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English.
